A 1st alarm was dispatched at 05:06 hrs Saturday morning for a house fire on the 700 block of Dysart Dr in Clearfield Twp.

1st arriving Truck and Rescue 60 knew the address to be that of our own Brother, Pat Kensinger. Pat has been a member of the 60 House, since being rescued by Ashville firefighters in a farming accident in 1991. He’s been confined to a wheelchair from that incident, however he’s been a asset to company in many ways even holding several offices through the years.

On scene firefighters found Pat and his mother, who had escaped the house at the bottom of a wheelchair ramp. Upon entering the building they encountered smoke filling the structure, fire was found in the crawl space running under the floors. 2 hose lines were used to knock down the fire. Do to the location of the fire extensive overhaul was needed to assure the fire was extinguished. The home was heavily damaged and the family is being assisted by the Red Cross.

Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to Pat and his Mother.

Donations are being accepted on behalf the family at
Captain Ron’s Deli, in Ashville.
